Welcome to the Braunton Caen Rotary Club website.
Our website, and our Facebook page, provide a picture of all the various projects and events we have been involved with over the past few years.
Like the many thousands of other Rotarians throughout the world, I joined Rotary so I could serve my local and wider community by having fun and combining my skills and experience with the differing skills and experience of the other members in my club and throughout the world.
Please visit our Club and enjoy fellowship and fun and to see what we are doing for the local community. We normally meet at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings at the Ebrington Arms, Knowle. Details of our meetings can be found on our Diary page along with details of all our activities. We are always looking for new members and all are welcome.
We are a busy club and have a varied programme of events throughout the year. These include the annual Village Fair, Christmas Santa Sleigh, Charity Car Tour, Wheels event and Wishing Well. Our Heart Start programme runs training courses for local people and we raise monies for defibrillators that are placed in the community.
Youth Service is thriving. We have excellent links with Braunton Academy and junior schools, a Caen Rotakids Club has been established at Caen School, an Interact Club is being established for teenagers and we organise entries for Youth Speaks, Young Writer, Young Chef and Young Photographer national competitions.
Internationally, we support Shelterbox, Mary’s Meals and UMOJA, a charity based in Tanzania, where we sponsor a young student.
In addition we support the End Polio Now campaign, which has been very successful and of course Foundation which is Rotary's own charity.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our club meetings.
